I’m writing this from a tiny little desk in the Arts District of Los Angeles. Light is pouring in to the room through glorious stained-glass windows. This space will soon be open for business as a craft distillery. It is called The Spirit Guild and it is helmed by one of my dearest friends and her husband.
Los Angeles is just one stop along the way of my West Coast tour. I started my journey by flying to Palm Springs to spend a magical extended weekend with some of the loveliest power babes. It was a retreat for members of Loaded Bow, a very special cabal of female entrepreneurs.
Great things happen when you get a group of pupose-driven ladies together for a meeting of the minds and hearts. There were poolside cocktails, no-boys-allowed dance parties, sunset dinners, ice cream…all the best things!
The intention of the weekend was to celebrate and discuss the subject of “pleasure”. I facilitated a mindful chocolate tasting with a bad-ass lady chef named Annabelle Choi.
I attended workshops on meditation, the science of pleasure, values and of course sex and love! We also had an amazing yoga teacher among the ranks, so we did some serious bending!
Now, I’m in Los Angeles eating every damn thing I see because it’s all wonderful and novel to me. Tacos, tacos and more tacos!
I’ve also fallen in love with Margot, my friend’s Devon Rex rescue kitty. She’s a beauty.
There will be more updates from the road so stay tuned!
