Sometimes, only classic chocolate cake will do. This cake was the result of an impromptu baking session. It was my contribution to a friend’s birthday party. I used a recipe from the Butter Baked Goods Cookbook by Rosie Daykin. Her recipe isn’t online, and I don’t like to reprint recipes without permission; so you might need to grab the book if this image is calling to you.
The cake was moist and rich. I used Greek yogurt in the batter instead of the sour cream. I always have Greek yogurt on hand.
