I do my best to be a responsible consumer. I like to buy high-quality products that won’t end up in a landfill after a year or two. That is why I choose to invest in kitchen tools. This is a list of kitchen products that I actually own and use regularly. Some of these items are much more expensive than other items in their category, but they are worth it. If you have any questions about a product on this page, feel free to message me!

kitchen-aid-mixer

Kitchen Aid Mixer

A good stand mixer is essential for an avid baker. I use my mixer for cookies, cakes, whipped cream and more. I bought this bright orange one because it reminded me of Garfield.

bodum

Bodum

I appreciate the simplicity of my Bodum French Press. It makes excellent coffee and it doesn’t waste paper. I also use it to brew loose-leaf tea.

lefse-grill

Lefse Grill

This grill is designed for making Scandinavian potato pancakes, but I use it for crêpes, latkes and okonomiyaki. It is easy to clean and easy to store because it is so flat!

microplane-box

Microplane Box Grater

I was fortunate enough to receive a Microplane box grater as a sample from the company. Microplane is known for their quality graters. This one is super sturdy and well constructed. It has a panel you can remove to use as a flat grater. I love it!

usa-pans

USA Pans

I’m the type of nerd that asks for baking sheets for Christmas. My mom bought me a set of these and they are excellent. They are heavy duty and they make me feel like a professional.

silpat

Silpat

These silicon cooking mats keep things from sticking. Think of them as reusable parchment paper. You can find them in a range of sizes. They are made in France so you know they are fancy.

prepara-evak

Prepara Evak

This thing is so cool. When you push the handle down, it pushes air out. This helps keep your food fresh. I like to use it for my whole bean coffee. It comes in white or black.

shun-knife

Shun Knife

Every kitchen needs a good chef’s knife. Your knife is your kitchen work-horse, so it has to feel good in your hand. This Shun knife is nicely weighted with a beautiful design.

lecreuset

Le Creuset

Another fancy French product? Quelle Surprise! This enamelled, cast-iron pan is great for making stews, beans, soups and breads. They come in a dizzying selection of colors.

vitamix

Vitamix Blender

This list wouldn’t be complete without the love of my life…my Vitamix. I use it 2 or 3 times a day. I don’t know how I lived without it! Seriously? How did I live?
