Owning a Vitamix means you waste less food. I’m always finding odds and ends of fruits and veggies in the fridge to toss in to a drink or soup. It’s a great way to use less-than-perfect product. Take this Whole-Fruit Limeade as an example. I used some ugly cherries and some leftover pineapple to add character to a basic summer drink.
In my previous post, I posted a little instructional video on how to pit cherries. Make sure you take the pits out before you blend those bad boys up.
- 2 whole limes (peeled)
- 1 cup fresh pineapple
- 1 cup cherries (pitted)
- 6 cups water
- ¼ cup sweetener, sugar or equivalent*
- Put all ingredients in the blender and mix on high speed for 2 minutes. Chill or serve over ice.
